Many great reviews on this product. Amazingly, almost every review the user was blown away by this finder, and gladly recommended it to others. It seemed as if everyone absolutely loved the downscan technology, here is what a user had to say about it:

I just finished installing the fish finder and took it out on the lake for the first time.Installation was pretty easy. I had to read and follow the instructions but I had no problems. I will say I found it very hard to drill holes in a perfectly good boat.On the lake, the GPS was great. The fish finder was very good also. It put me on fish, just not the right ones. The only complaint I have is the fish alarm won't go off unless I show the fish icon. Maybe I just haven't figured that out yet.Overall, it is everything I wanted and I am very satisfied.

I ended up replacing a 10-year out Humminbird unit with this one. I have used the unit about 5-6 times before writing this review. After reading some of the reviews, I was slightly skeptical. However, the unit has great features. The ability to change the views, the sensitivities, and the abundance of options to play with seem endless. Every time that I go out I change some of the settings to customize the unit to the way that I want it. The DI is definitely not what Humminbird advertises but everything else is great. One thing to remember is that the GPS does not include bathymetry (additional $150+ from Navionics). This was slightly annoying but the GPS pre-loaded maps were fine. Installation was easy including putting the new transducer which was included (some units it is sold separately).
